  • After residing on the east coast most of our lives, my husband, Howard and I relocated to Colorado. This meant leaving our two daughters, whom we miss very much. We spent seven great years in Colorado before coming to Iowa to join the Kemna group. We are both very excited about our new adventure and look forward to many new friends and much success within the Kemna organization. Please call anytime with questions or suggestions

  • Yellow ribbons and “We Support Our Troops” signs line the streets of small towns all over the country, Algona, Iowa, is no exception. Community members bring packages to Kemna’s a General Motors dealership, to send to troops overseas. Serving as the drop off site, Kemna pays postage for all packages. Since the inception of Operation Kemna Cares on May 4, 2003, the women of Kemna have packaged, labeled and sent thousands of packages to service men and women from Algona and Fort Dodge, Iowa, units. Kemna’s marketing director Pamela Ridner coordinates the promotion. “ I send between four to five truckloads a week,” Pamela says. “I am very proud of Kemna’s and the employees for spending thousands of dollars to date on this endeavor.” The community offers non-failing support by matching monetary contributions. Pamela says, “The support comes from firefighters giving up their on-call pay to donate to the fund , elementary students through community cars, civic groups including the Lions and Rotary clubs.” Kemna received recognition for their ongoing promotion during the state Army National Guard Freedom Salute Ceremony in 2006. Adjutant General MG Ronald Dardis presented them with a bronze eagle award and silver dollar commemorative for excellence.
